dothan family portraits – glover family

When Sabrina contacted me regarding a portrait session I was excited and nervous all at once.  Why, you might ask would I be nervous?  Well, it just so happens that Sabrina and her sister- in -law Monica are experienced photographers.

As we started planning the session, Sabrina revealed to me that they had not done extended family pictures in nearly 9 years! It was definitely time! Her brother and family would be in town for Thanksgiving and would be perfect timing to have a portrait session that she would gift to her family.

I love this family for many reasons, but mostly it can all be summed up by saying, they love sacrificially.  Sabrina and Jamey have adopted 3 times and are current foster parents.  They have put their “yes” on the table and they love big and well.  Not only have they played a part of our own adoption story, Sabrina has been kind enough to encourage me as a photographer and has generously shared her studio space with me as well.  So while I was just a little nervous, I was totally honored to do this session!

If there is one thing that I have learned, it’s that you can never be sure how a session will go when there are kids involved, but let me tell you…. these kids… ROCKED IT!  And this little precious one, and her baby, served as my assistant, making sure everyone smiled!
