30 years ago, as a very shy college freshmen, I walked into the choir rehearsal room for the first time. I don’t remember our first interactions, but Melissa and I became fast friends. We never dreamed that friendship would still be going strong all these years later, but here we are. Although we live hours apart and don’t really talk very often, we always pick right back up where we left off. She and Brian have a played a huge part in our story, but I will save that for another day.
I was ecstatic when they asked me about coming to take family photos during their time together during the holidays! The entire Aaron family has always so welcomed us in and treated us just like one of their own. We’ve watched the family continue to grow over the years with marriages and grandchildren. We’ve been privileged to be there for birthday and graduation celebrations. And every time, I thought how amazing it must be to have a large family like the Aarons. Jimmy and I both came from small families. We dreamed that someday we would have 3 or 4 children.
After our photo session, we headed to lunch at a local restaurant. As we waited for our tables to be ready, it was like a light bulb came on in my head. Here we are 30 years later and we now have 4 children of our own. I leaned over to Jimmy and said “This will be us one day!”
Thank you Aaron family for welcoming us as always! We love you all!
